Michael's Birthday Card | By Laurigami

Hello Everyone,

In the month of October in our family we have two birthdays.  My second son is celebrating his nine years and this is the card I made for him.

I used the "animal kit" from Gummiapan. I created the background using Copics.

I put some elements in relief.

My son was very happy to receive this card.

My blog is here if you would like to visit.

Mail Art With Gummiapan | By Katie
Hello crafty friends

I am here today with some mail art I have made using Gummiapan stamps. Here's a little close up.

I started off with a blank 5 x 7 envelope and I stamped the Worn Grid stamp around the edges first. Next I inked just one edge of the Photo Negative stamp and stamped it down the side over the Worn Grid.

Next I stamped two Dotted Branches at either corner of the envelope.  I then added a few Monarch Butterflies in between the worn Grid pattern.

I finished off by adding small arrows and a chevron down the edges, before spritzing with blue and sepia inks.

Products used:-

Here's another piece I created.

I started this one off with the Worn Grid pattern again and then added another layer using the Worn Chessboard stamp. I used the Number Collage stamp down the edge of the envelope and I used dark colours for the texture stamps.

Next I used the Larger Butterfly stamps in Green and Warm Yellow to make them pop out from the monotone background.  I stamped these across the envelope and over the first layer of stamps.

I finished off by stamping Live Love Laugh across the top in black ink.

Thank you for visiting

Katie

Make Waves with Pion Design Mermaid | By Lynn
I just love these Pion Design papers - Legends of the Sea. I've only used a few of the images there are lots left - biggest problem is deciding which ones to use! To complement the images I used papers from Maja Design -Denim and Friends and Life in the Country.

I added some flower ribbon from my stash which was the perfect contrasting colour. To hide the tape holding the ribbon on I dusted it with some glitter. The little sequins are Flat Milk White ones from the shop. Don't let the name fool you, because when they catch the light they have other lovely colours showing too.

I distressed the edges of the papers and used Distress ink to colour them. The flowers are Antique White paper from the shop.
I really enjoyed making this card which is a little different from my usual style. It must be the Swedish House influence!

Quest Advent Calendar | by Olga

This unusual Advent Calendar consists of tiny envelopes. Instead of just unpacking a little gift every day you have to open an envelope and read where the gift is hidden for that day.

Also, I made an extended version of the calendar to make it last for the whole month of December, right until the New Year's day. So the recipient will have to fulfil 31 tasks to find their gifts :)

The video tutorial is at the end of this post!

I hope you will give this fun Advent Calendar a try!

Have a great week!

Mixed Media Box | By Liz
Hi guys, I'm here today to show you a Mixed Media Box I have created using some of the fabulous products available at Swedish House Crafts,

I had the box in my stash just crying out to be altered, so first I began with adding some colour to the wooden box here and there, but mainly on the edges, blending into the middle,

Then  I did some stamping on the box with the worn harlequin stamp by Gummiapan, I love the distressed look on this stamp!! As you can see I stamped on the sides too.

For the display on the top I took the Doodled Circles die by Gummiapan and cut a few layers in Kraft card stock, these I glued together to give the effect of chipboard. I glued this down then added some leaves using the Gummiapan Twig with berry right sided die. I cut them out of one of the Pion papers from the Songbirds Secret.

I then topped it off with some handmade flowers and leaves in Foamiran.

I finished off my box with these awesome metal feet and handle which come as a set and are a fantastic price. They are available in different styles and sizes too, do check them out!!!

Have a look at all the wonderful products Suha has in her fabulous online store. I think some would make fabulous Christmas presents for a crafty friend, or why not treat yourself!!!!

Happy Crafting!!!

A Card For A Man using Denim & Friends | By Becky
Morning everyone,

Becky here with you this morning, with a card that I have been asked by a work friend to make for her brother.

She told me that he supports the football team West Brom, so I immediately thought of this image in these colours, and the papers from Denim and Friends are perfect. I have used the 12x12 POCKET SQUARE and STARS AND STRIPES. I have also used some sheets from the 6X6 PAPER PAD.

Behind the image I have used the Doohickey JUTE and I have used the GALAXY STAR LACE too.

I have also used the CELEBRATION STARS to keep the star theme going.

I do like using the 6x6 sheets that have a lot of blank space as they are perfect for the inside of cards.

Thanks for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Swedish House Crafts Sponsors Allsorts Challenge | By Becky and Lynn
Hello everyone,

Today Swedish House Crafts is so very pleased to be sponsoring the Allsorts challenge blog. Becky and Lynn have each made a card for the challenge blog. The theme is "Think Pink" if you want to join in over at the Allsorts blog.

Becky's card.

For my card I have used Country Girl Tilda and coloured her with my distress reinkers.

I have shaped the edge of the card base and used Pion Designs Rise and Shine from the Theodore and Bella collection, and distressed the edges with brown ink.

Behind Tilda I have tucked a So Wrapped Lovely tag, and also added a few flowers and a leaf.

And more flowers, as you can't have too many flowers.

Lynn's card.

For my card I chose to use these items from the Swedish House Crafts shop:-

I cut out using the integrated hearts from pink card but I added Distress ink to make a hot pink colour. I stamped inside the hearts using words from the Text stamp.

I stamped the daisy in pink distress ink onto pink card. Then using a sparkle pen I dragged the colour.

I love this heart frame and it goes so well with all the other elements. I stamped inside it using just the "be you" from the sentiment stamp along with two tiny butterflies. I used the sparkle pen while the ink was wet to drag over the sentiment to "grunge" it a little.

Finally I used the "waste" from the heart die to add the little hearts.
