Christmas Greetings | By Vicky

Hello everyone I'm here to show you a Christmas Card using yummy papers, stamps, dies and embellishments from Swedish House Crafts.

Now I'm losing track of days at the minute and totally forgot about my DT make......so this was a rush and altogether took me just under 2 hours to do, including colouring the image.....now that's fast for me, I can spend 4 hours just on a card and then at least an hour colouring the image lol.

So I made a Lollipop card, I love making these and have made quite a few, they are so easy and quick to make. For my focal point I could not decide between an image from a Maja Design Christmas Collection or a Magnolia stamp.......so I went with both lol.

I have used the super cute Christmas Caramel Tilda from A Lovely Christmas collection. I coloured her with distress ink refills and then cut her out using Magnolia "Rounded Frames and Tags" die. These are on a fabulous offer right now so get them while you can. They cut brilliantly and I love how you get a little tag in them also.

For the leaves I have used my favourite leaf die Magnolia Sprawling Ferns die and cut the leaves from Maja Design "Grandpa's Christmas Tree" paper. I also added Glistening Pomegranates and Berries from Swedish House Crafts, these are fabulous for adding that perfect Christmassy finishing touch......or foofines as I call it lol.

I cut tags from Maja Design paper and distressed them a little, added an eyelet, some string and a rusty bell , then tucked them in at the top. They can be taken out to write little personal messages or quotes on.

Now when I first followed the tutorial for the Lollipop card I didn't like how you wrote on the back, for me personally it felt like I would be squashing the flowers and all my other foofiness on the front.
So I came up with the idea of adding a pocket on the back to insert tags into, these you take out and write your messages on.

I've kept the back fairly simple as all the main attraction is at the front ;-) The tags were made using Magnolia Business Card Letter Tags.

I added more embellishments one the other side, using the Sprawling Ferns die again, some Pomegranate Apples, Mixed Berries and a Wooden Pine Cone all from Swedish House Crafts.
I also added a miniature glass bottle and added some German glass glitter inside........it's like a bottle of Christmas Magic Dust ;-)

For the circle in the centre I used Roxstamps Cross Stitched Nesting dies. I love these, the round ones and the squares ones and would use them all the time if I could lol. They cut out fantastic and really are excellent value......these are my favourite nesting dies to use.

The tiny little postcard is also from the same sheet as the image which is Maja Design "I Wish" Ephemera sheet. I also added White Gesso here and there to add to the snowy Christmassy look.

Hope you like my quick lollipop card, if you have not tried to make one of these yet, then why not try one they really are so easy & quick to make. You can even used the shape as a hanging instead of inserting a straw into it.

Thanks for stopping by, hugs Vicky xxx

Denim Collection Boy Card | By Becky
Morning everyone, Becky here today. Twelve years ago today I became a mam, and fell hopelessly in love with my son, and everyday I become more and more proud of this lovely young man that I brought into the world. The card that I have today is the card that I have made for him...

I have used the same sheet of DP from Maja design, just rotated it by 90° to make this effect, the sheet that I have used is Pocket Square from Denim & Friends.

The clipboard is from the Magnolia Halloween Kit, and I can see this getting a lot of use! I have also used the Galaxy Lace die, I love how this works for both male and female cards.

And, again I have used the Jute die behind the image.

Tonight I am taking my boy out for a steak, and a custard cream birthday cake :)

Hugs,

Becky xx

Romantic Vellum Pockets | By Clair

Hello! It's Clair here with my last, little makes for Swedish House Crafts!

It's so sad, but work has become a little too busy for me to continue on! I wanted to use some of my favourite items from the Swedish House Crafts store, so it's a soft, romantic selection this morning!

I've made some little ATC sized 'Pockets' with the Crafter's Companion Printable Vellum. I've filled them with a mix of the Milk White Sequins and Vintage Pink Sequins, then sealed the sides with the amazing Crafter's Companion Extra Strong Permanent Glue Tape Pen

I used the smallest die from the Gummiapan 'Thin Stitched Banners Die Set" to make some little banners and added them to the front of one pocket. I made the banners using some teeny, little leftovers from my other makes - and, honestly, this die set is such a fabulous way to make the most of even the smallest little bit of cardstock! (The Thin set is currently out of stock, but the "normal" sized "Nesting Stitched Banners" are available).

I then decorated the front of the other "Pockets" with some of my other favourites from the Sofiero Collection from Maja Design, added a little stitching - and then finished off by adding some extra sequins! Because really, who doesn't love a sequin?

Father Christmas "Jultomten" - Using Maja Design "Vintage Frost Basics" | By Donna
Hello, everyone,

Donna here with my latest creation for Swedish House Crafts blog.

I have made a Christmas card using one of the gorgeous die cut images from Maja Design "Vintage Frost Basics" collection.

If you are wondering about the title? Father Christmas, Jultomten, also known simply as "Tomten" is Sweden's Father Christmas. Visiting the houses in the afternoon on Christmas Eve (when Christmas in Sweden is celebrated) to distribute presents to children.

Links to the products can be found in text at the end of my post.

Here is a closer look at Father Christmas. Sweden's "Tomten".

I used Gummiapan old paper die to cut the base of my card, and layer the papers which are also from Maja Designs "Vintage Frost Basics" collection. The postcard image is also from the images die cut sheet.

I used Tim Holtz Vintage photo distress ink to ink the edges of everything on my card apart from the flowers, and foliage. Everything has had a dusting of Snow-Tex. The pretty lace along the bottom of the card is from my stash.

I used my own poinsettia die, and "Vintage Frost Basics" papers to make the flowers. The stamens, wooden pine cones, and pomegranate apples are from the store.

For the Christmas trees, I used Gummiapan Christmas tree die, and matching scripted Christmas tree stamp. I placed a die cut star on top of the trees and adhered a 3mm white pearl in the centre.

Inside the card is decorated to complement the front.

Thank you for stopping by to visit today!

Quick Xmas tag using Gummiapan dies | By Anna Sigga
Hello there and happy Wednesday to all.

I love making tags and eventhough tag-shaped dies do make it easy, there is a way to create them using non-tag-shaped dies that you might already have in your crafty stash.

I used two different dies to create tags and the process is quite simple when you get the hang of it.

I decided to keep the tag on the clean and simple side 'cause these kind of tags are great to have on hand for Christmas and if your kids want to join in, it is even better.
