Roxstamps Awesome | By Lynn

Hi - Lynn here today with a card using the new "old star dies from Gummiapan". They are perfect for this card for a 13 year old boy I needed to make. I used Maja Life by Sea 6x6 papers to cut them out in the alternate sizes and then layered them up.

Because he is 13 and it is a special birthday, I wanted to add the age - normally I wouldn't do that on a boy card! I don't think they find it cool. I used Gummiapan Anniversary Numbers set for the age. There is no 13! so I cut the 10 and 30 and carefully removed the 3 from the 0.

Roxstamps Awesome die I thought was perfect for a boy this age. I cut it from Maja  Life by the Sea striped paper from the 6x6 pad. To highlight it I drew around the die itself and cut out in white card. Then mounted the word die cut out on top of it.

One of my favourite Gummiapan sentiment stamps is this mini Happy Birthday It fits in nicely on this design without detracting from the overall feel of the card. I managed to nestle it into the Gummiapan star dust circle stamp which I had stamped in Memento Love Letter red ink, which is a nice bright red colour. I also added the Gummiapan mini worn ring star stamp in blue ink- this is a tiny stamp but I think it's so effective dotted around the card.

Because the card is for a boy, I wanted to grunge it up - so I used some pebeo silver gilding paste around the edges of the stars and the 13. I then added the Gummiapan splats stamp randonmly over the card in Memento Paris Dusk ink for further grunging!

Big stars die cuts used on the back are NEW!! dies from Gummiapan called Old stars.
I also used one of the brand NEW!! Roxstamps dies - Roxstamps Special Die - Awesome!

Precious Bird-house using Laserowe chipboard | By Anna Sigga

Hello, again and hope you are doing well.

I just fell in love with this adorable birdhouse by Lazerow and I knew I just had to add a touch of gold and flowers to this pretty lil thing.

I started by painting all the pieces using a soft gold acrylic paint and when it was all dry I started putting this house together.

Next up was another coat of paint and this time it's pinkish-gold because I just could not help myself to add a touch of pink.

I just love how the layered pieces look with this creation and they truly make this house a home. I wanted to create a smooth texture to the roof so I decided to cover it with delicate lace and I really like how that looks.

Lastly, I added a generous amount of flowers here and there, and the Lazerow leaves were coloured with ink to add a touch of green.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you are looking for more inspiration from me you can check out my YouTube channel and of course my blog: Scrappalicious.

A Hint of Pink | by Olga

Hi friends, I hope you are having a great week. The card I am presenting today is very delicate and feminine and it is ridiculously easy to make!

The card base is made out of a sheet of vellum and then "reinforced" with the thin frame so that it's not going to bend when standing upright.

For writing a message I would suggest using a white pen or a white pencil - besides being unusual it is also not going to be too visible (again, in a standing position of a card).

To create a background and floral embellishments I have used my favorite one-of-a-kind Gummiapan dies and added a hint of pink to the flower shapes.

Watch the video tutorial below for a step by step guide on how to create this card!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have found some inspiration. See you again next time!

Laserowe Love Bird House | By Liz

Hi guys, I'm here today to show you the fantastic 3D chipboard Bird House by Laserowe Love  from Swedish House Crafts, as you know I love Chipboards!!!!
Suha has some gorgeous chipboards in the online store and they can be altered in many ways, on this post I'm going to show you how I decorated mine with a photo tutorial,

Above is my finished Bird House. I wanted some added interest and soft colouring, so I added some more chip board, stenciling, stamping and a few of my hand made Foamiran flowers too,

Take all the pieces except the scalloped roof edges out of the packaging carefully, cutting the little tabs holding them in place.

I chose to use Distress Inks for my chipboard in three colours. Using a large brush I made circular movement to add some Scattered straw randomly here and there on each piece.

Here it's hard to see, but I softened it with some Antique Linen distress ink, using my brush the same way.

Here I have also added some Peeled paint distress ink too. You can go over as many times as you like till you get the desired look you wish, but try to keep the colours separate.

On the Base I only coloured the outer edges, leaving the very centre uncoloured, as you will not see this part when the Bird House is attached on top.

Colour the roof sections in the same way, then cut them out of their base pieces. This way the delicate lines of the chip board don't get damaged when colouring them, and it's easier to do too.

When I'd finished colouring the pieces I wanted to add a little interest to some of the sections of the Bird House. So I took a Gummiapan bricks stamp and a Versa Mark pad then randomly stamped onto the sections of the house where I wanted it. Then I added some white embossing powder over the top, shook off the excess, then heat dried it with my heat tool. Try to do this quickly and if the chipboard warps a little, place it upside down under a heavy book for a while, it will straighten the chip board out again.

This is the effect you're after.

To give added interest on the side panels I took a mask I had in my stash and stenciled some structure paste through it.

Take the mask off carefully and let it air dry.

For the chipboard heart that came with the Bird House I simply dabbed some of the structure paste onto it with a foam dauber, this creates texture.

This is the assembled Bird House onto which I have added a couple of  Laserowe Bricks here and there too. I kept these in their natural colour.

As you can see the bricks have interest without adding too much depth. I love the effect the dabbed structure paste on the heart gives.

Here's another closer view of the brick effect.

I wanted some hand made Foamiran flowers on my Bird House, so I cut some flower shapes out using a Gummiapan flower die from Swedish house Crafts. Onto the cut shapes I added some Memento ink, I added the colour by using a slightly damp wet wipe, this helped spread the quick drying ink and softened the colour slightly too. I then went over with a darker colour on the edges of the petals using the same technique.

After colouring them I scrunched and twisted each petal in turn on the edges only so as to get the above effect. I then made a hole in the middle of each flower and added some stamens through, gluing them in place behind the flower.

I used some feathers from my stash and this cute bird that I hot glued onto the perch. Then when fully dry I added some of the Foamiran flowers along the side of the Heart. I then used another couple of different Foamiran flowers underneath the Bird too.

I finished the base of my Bird House off with some more feathers, Foamiran flowers and another piece of Laserowe Love chipboard too which I coloured in with some of the Peeled paint Distress ink.

I decorated the roof sections by randomly placing a Jute Die cut by Magnolia here and there, some cheesecloth and natural fibers randomly placed over this, then some more hand made Foamiran flowers glued on top too.

This is the other side view. I love how nature is wild and untamed and that's the look I was after for the roof of my Bird Box.

This is the view as seen from above, I really hope I've inspired you to have a go yourself, if you do let me know and I will take a look.

#1SPECIANITY: Enjoy the Best and The Winner of Second Giveaway
It has been slow this week. I know we are enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. Well I know now we love the sun more than blogging now. But I am happy it rained yesterday because my plants were suffering the heat.

In this post you will know more about how some of the SHC design team made it. Also they are giving us valuable advice on what you need to know to become a design team member and maintain a balanced life.

Lynn has been blogging since 2009.  She's been published in various magazines over the years but more recent Craft Stamper Magazine twice this year already! Isn't that amazing?!

She's been a DT on several companies before but now she's only with SHC. Lynn is our DT Team Leader and Coordinator. She prepares the schedule for all of us, makes sure we are on time, correct our language and trust me, she finds the mistakes! Sometimes we make her job impossible lol but still she tolerates us!

Her advice to you: "As the DT Lead, I have the role to sometimes remind people for posts! Help you DT Lead and be ready with spare cards too.

You see what I mean? lol! Sorry Lynn, we are a pain sometimes!!

Liz has been blogging since 2009. She loves most working with foamiran at the moment, as you can do so many different flowers and creations with it. She was published in Making Cards Magazine before too. Currently she's on My Besties Shabby Chic but she has a history full of DT's. Liz is a pioneer DT member on SHC team and hoping years to come.

Her advice to you: "Be on time with your projects, good clear photography, help where you can, ask questions if you don't understand, usually the DT coordinator or owner plus other team members will help. B friendly and you will get a lot of joy being a member of the DT. Have fun!!!! lol!!"
