Arctic Sweeties | By Lynn

Hello everyone,

Lynn here today with new papers from Laserowe - these are the Arctic Sweetie papers and also there are chipboards too. These papers are such good quality and great value too and they come with three strips of double sided images and tags. Find the links to the shop at the bottom of the post.

The lovely polar bears are having such fun on these papers. I coloured the main chipboard with white aquatints and a TH white distress pen to give the illusion of fur. I also added a little glitter snow.  The  Laserowe snowflakes I coloured with Crafters companion metallic pens. There is a gap for the nose which I filled with some black liquid pearls.

Something that you will find on the website is this Gummiapan star frame, in fact it comes as a two part set with a heart frame too. I cut it twice in silver mirri card and layered them up. I just love the details on these Laserowe papers - here are the icicles hanging down which I used a sparkle pen over.

Thanks for looking. You can find my personal blog at Crafty Linby.

Laserowe Baby Boy Exploding Box Giveaway | By Donna

Hello, everyone!
Donna here with my latest project.
I have made an exploding box using some of the new gorgeous Laserowe Love papers, and chipboards that are now available to buy in store. There is so much to choose from at really great prices. If you've never heard of Laserowe before then I highly recommend that you take a look in store.
I used Neenah desert storm cardstock to make the base, and lid of the box,

Links to the products that I have used on my exploding box can be found at the end of my post.

I decorated each of the panels with Laserowe Love Vintage baby boy complete collection papers.

I die cut five Gummiapan pierced scalloped circles using Neenah desert storm cardstock, and I die cut five Roxstamps pierced round dies using white card. I matted one onto the other, and adhered each one onto the centre of each of the panels with 1mm foam tape.

There is a sheet of nine gorgeous images included inside the paper stack. I cut around four of them, and adhered each one to the centre of each of the circles using 2mm foam tape.

I assembled Laserowe chipboard 3D elephant with pva glue, and painted it completely with black gesso. Once the gesso was dry, I brushed blue wax over the elephant leaving the wheels black. I adhered a large white pearl flatback to the centre of each of the wheels. I attached a length of twine through the elephants trunk, and adhered the elephant to the centre of the box.

To decorate the lid I adhered a Gummiapan stitched square die cut on top of the design paper.
I used Laserowe chipboard elephant toy for the top. I painted the base of elephant in the same way as I did for the 3D elephant. Once dry, I adhered the detailed chipboard elephant onto the base.

The flowers, seam binding that I used to make a bow, and the silver bear charm are from my stash!

There is a gorgeous set of tags included in the paper stack.
I cut around one of the tags, and threaded a length of twine through the eyelet. I adhered the twine underneath the bow, and adhered the bear charm to the centre.

On to the exciting part. I am giving away my exploding box to one lucky person in our Facebook Swedish House Crafters lounge group. Everyone has a chance to win, but first you will need to join our facebook group, and leave a comment mentioning to whom you would like to give the exploding box to or maybe you would like it for yourself?
The giveaway is open for 7 days. After that time we will draw a winner in the Swedish House Crafters lounge group. I will also announce the winner in a short blog post on here. You can find the link to join Swedish House Crafters lounge group below.

Memories Notebook | by Anna Sigga
Hi, fellow crafty lovers.

As most of you know I love colouring the chipboard images from Lazerowe and these look so pretty as a centrepiece for cards and books.

I had this gold notebook in my stash and I thought it would be nice to dress it up using these pretty Pion Design papers and the Flourish Mashed Flower chipboard.

I coloured the chipboard with ink pads and after cutting the patterned papers I inked them with the same two colours of ink as well as distressing the edges a little bit.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you are looking for more inspiration from me you can check out my YouTube channel and of course my blog: Scrappalicious.

#tbt Decorated box tutorial | By Anna Sigga

Decorating boxes and notebooks is so popular right now and Anna Sigga from our DT has decorated many for us over the year. Unfortunately for us Anna has decided to step down from the DT. So we are going to re-vist some of Anna's videos this week as they are well worth seeing again or for some of you they may be new to you.

On Wednesday Anna will have her last new make for us to see. We wish you all the best Anna.

Here's a #tbt video on how Anna went about decorating this wooden box - I have two boxes like this waiting to be decorated one day..... Watch Anna with me and get inspired too.

Merry Christmas with Allsorts challenge | By Nancy

Hello, friends! It's Nancy here today with a fun Christmas card share. I've created this lovely traditional card in honour of the Challenge that Swedish House Crafts is sponsoring over at the Allsorts Challenge Blog this week. Where the challenge is to use traditional Christmas colours.

The papers are all from the Pion Design - To My Valentine Collection. I cut a strip of paper, and folded it into a banner shape. Then I cut a smaller strip, and stamped the "Merry Christmas" using the Gummiapan Stamp - Text Merry Christmas. I then adhered that strip onto the banner. I inked all the edges with gold metallic wax before adhering it in place. I also rubbed gold wax around the rest of the card. It adds such a lovely elegant and antiqued look to the card.

Then I took the Round Meshed Frame w/ Heart Curlicue Chipboard from Laserowe Love.  I coloured the chipboard with the gold wax, and then die-cut a circle from red paper to back it.  Once it was adhered to the card base, I added some red glitter glue into the heart.

Finally, I added a pretty bow made from the Brick Red Ribbon. Here's one last look at the finished card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Come visit me at my blog: The Nickel Nook!

Don't forget to head over to the Allsorts Challenge Blog to join in with the fun!

Without Change There Would Be No Butterflies | By Liz

Hi guys, I've got a mixed media creation to show you today which I made by combining them with some of the fabulous products from

I have a little step by step tutorial for you on how I created this,
Take the Gummiapan Large old tag die and cut the tag out of some card board, ( I used some old packaging from a delivery).

At the same time die cut the bottom section of the tag again.

Spray both pieces of the tags with some water on the right hand side, then spread it a little with your fingers.

Gently pull back the top layer of the card board so it leaves the corrugated section showing, it is fine to leave patches of the top layer still in place, as shown below.

Do the same for the other piece too.

Paint your card stock tag with a layer of gesso, then when dry add some inks or sprays of your choice. I used some Prima Colour Bloom sprays.

After the sprays are dry I added a little of my handmade structure paste but you can use Grunge paste or similar and dry well. I also added some on the other section too, sorry not shown on the picture below!

When the structure paste was totally dry I stamped with a brick stamp by Gummiapan over the top using some Memento ink pad in Tuxedo Black. I then added another bit of the sprays here and there.

This shows the structure paste added on the smaller section, on top of which I have stamped another  Gummiapan stamp over the structure paste.  I did this in the same way as above, I then cut the height of the section down a little.

At this stage I used three colours of the memento ink pads, just gliding them along some of the colour card stock by Crafters Companion. At this stage you can die cut some more tag sections out of thick card if  needed for extra strength at the back.

Then taking the Gummiapan butterfly stamps in Medium and the large sizes I stamped these over the top, this way each butterfly gets different colours.

Fussy cut them out.

To finish my tag off I used some eyelets from the mixed meadow pack on the bottom of the top section and the top of the lower one. Joining both by adding some jump rings through, I then used a Laserowe Love chipboard piece, keeping it in it's natural state. Then I glued the butterflies in place.

How it looks on the wall.
